PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT - SUMMARY
Our family has developed a learning lifestyle
where we start all understanding of history, geology, biology, astronomy, and anthropology,
(etc.) through God's infallible Word that has never changed. We have grown and changed
in wonderful ways since I opened the Bible and used God's Word to make sense of the
world around me. It has helped me to abandon other methods and start to raise my
children from a Biblical perspective. Through His Word I have become the spiritual
head of our home. By the grace of God, our home has been changing from a confused
and chaotic environment to a more loving and peaceful home. We know there are many
challenges and difficulties ahead, so it is important that we have faith in an awesome
God. I can't remind myself enough to encourage prayer and reflection on what we are
trying to achieve as a family. Acts of kindness, love, and forgiveness are important
- any good deed should be recognized. This is what Jesus would want for all families.
It's difficult at times to work through some problems that creep up but, let those
times help us to be more aware in the future.
"And be ye kind one
to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath
forgiven you. "
(Ephesians 4:32 KJV).
"And that from
a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
(2 Timothy 3:15 KJV).
The
Book of Genesis explains the many truths regarding the fallen world we live in and
why there is pain, suffering, and death. How we relay this knowledge to others or
to our children will either strengthen or weaken their faith and their future. If
we throw out the concept of bringing man's opinion to the Bible and compromising
God's Word, the Gospel message becomes even more powerful in our spiritual walk and
relationships with others. There is a great peace that will encircle those who understand
His meaning of life, death, and why people turn away from God's protection. Scripture
explains in detail what people struggle an entire lifetime to understand because
they reject or compromise His Word. Through prayer and a softened heart His Word
helps me to remember and appreciate the many things I take for granted. His love
reminds me to be thankful knowing any situation could always be worse. No matter
how many times I'm challenged by difficulties, I must repeatedly try to keep my thoughts
on our Lord and trust His Word.
"Therefore all things whatsoever
ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and
the prophets. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is
the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because
strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there
be that find it."
(Matthew 7:12-14)
"There is a way which
seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
(Proverbs 14:12)
